A new survey for egg producers will help scientists assess if there is enough data available to design models that predict flock problems.
What can your data tell you about flock health and welfare?
Egg producers collect a lot of production data that they may not get a chance to look at in depth. Additionally, finding the time to interrogate a flock's health or welfare can be difficult. What if scientists could help egg producers use their data to predict if problems will crop up?
The team at EPIC (Scotland’s Centre of Expertise on Animal Disease Outbreaks) and SRUC (Scotland’s Rural College) would like to understand what data UK egg producers collect and how it is kept, to determine if we can design prediction models to alert you to flock problems.
This survey is not collecting flock data – just asking what types of data you keep and in what format.
The survey will take just a few minutes to complete. Complete the survey here.
