I am a qualified Veterinarian with an interest in epidemiology, infectious diseases and one health. I am currently a PhD student at the Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Security (University of Edinburgh). My research topic focuses on animal health policy decisions, particularly, considering the role of scientific evidence for policy-making in the context of infectious diseases. As part of my research, I will analyse EPIC’s Centre of Expertise model for supporting evidence-informed decisions on animal diseases in Scotland.
Before initiating my PhD studies, I worked as a clinician in small animal practice. I have also been involved in research and teaching mainly in the areas of animal welfare and clinical epidemiology.
