Strategic partnership workshops: Moredun and SRUC

The series of workshops is designed to develop novel areas of cross-institutional research that will lead to vibrant new research clusters that will address Scottish, UK and international challenges.  Workshops will explore ways to ensure the impact and diversification of our research and how to enable stronger opportunities for funding.

Three topics have been identified for discussion; Biosecurity, Smart Farming and Enhanced Food Production. As these big global challenges become ever more pressing and competition for available funding increases, it’s vital that we proactively address this by strengthening our resources by working with partners to find the quickest and best solutions whilst meeting the needs of all parties, including the career development opportunities of research staff.

EPIC researchers including George Russell (Moredun), Alasdair Nisbet  (Moredun), Alistair Stott (SRUC) and George Gunn (SRUC) are participating in the workshops.
